The three headed bachata monster that is Jorge “Ataca” Burgos, Tanja “La Alemana” Kensinger and Rudy “El Tiguere” Lopez (better known as Island Touch Dance) produce one of the top latin dance events in Chicago each year: The Chicago Salsa Bachata Festival. This year the festival takes place March 24th – 27th and promises to again be an exciting event. A long list of internationally known instructors will attend including: the aforementioned Ataca & Alemana, Juan Matos, Daniel & Desiree, Carlos Cinta, Jorjet Alcocer, Zafire Dance Company, and many more.
Other bullet points include:
- Workshops with world renowned instructors. Hourly workshops for dancers of all skill levels. No partner needed.
- Evening performances showcasing local dance companies along with invited international artists hand picked by the event organizers.
