Latin Thursday at Mainzstrand

During the summer months from beginning of June until end of August, an artificial beach is created at the Rhine river shore at Mainz.

From 20.00 there is a free dance lesson that is organised by the Willius-Senzer dance school in 2023. After which it becomes a social with many dancers from the region taking off their shoes to dance in the sand with a backdrop of the river.

Music ranges from salsa to bachata and merengue with a few classics mixed in. Kizomba is usually not played at the Latin party on Thursday.

Entry is free. You can buy a cocktail or crepe at the booths around the Mainzstrand area. It is not allowed to bring food.
